South Africa will go head to head with England in the final of the Rugby World Cup (RWC) this Saturday, November 2 at 11am.
Although we can’t all be in Japan for the Rugby World Cup finals, we can join in supporting the Springboks at one of these locations.
Here’s where you can catch the final in Cape Town:
12 S Arm Rd, Victoria & Alfred Waterfront
Join in supporting the Springboks with Shimmy’s live screenings on a projector screen in the Absolut Lounge. With a dedicated rugby menu, beer and burger specials and fantastic Heineken hampers to be won, they’re making sure you have the best seat in the house for the big game. Book a table via firstname.lastname@example.org or call 021 200 7778. No entry fee. Walk-ins also welcome!
Drifter Brewing Company
156 Victoria Rd, Woodstock
Beer, Bokke and bouillabaisse, uh, yes, please! This classic Provençal seafood stew is loaded with clams, lobster, and fish. It’s situated in a broth delicately flavoured with fennel and pastis, a liquorice-flavoured aperitif. Prepared by celebrity chef Thomas Van Alphen, he will be taking this great dish to new heights during a special meal hosted at Woodstock’s Drifter Brewing Company from 11 to 3pm. Expect long communal tables (just like a Provençal country feast!), unique beers by Drifter, wine, and – of course – glorious lashings of a life-changing artwork of a meal: bouillabaisse. This is a lunch event, and they will be streaming the rugby on the big screen! Arrive by 11am to catch the match, and lunch will be served immediately afterwards.
