Durban – The older brother of Phoenix bloods gang boss Kalvin Perisamy was unable to attend his funeral today.
Kevin Perisamy is an awaiting trial prisoner at Westville Prison and did not attend his brother’s funeral. A letter read written by Kevin to his brother was read out at the funeral.
It said: “ To my dearest brother, my baby. I can’t believe I have to say goodbye to you today. No words can describe the pain I feel. If I could turn back the hands of time, you would still be here.”
Kevin will stand trial in July after police recovered over R80 000 worth of drugs at their home.
Perisamy who was shot and killed in the Gateway shopping centre will be buried at the Woodview Cemetery in Phoenix in a short while.
Tears flowed as the tributes were delivered in the Pesco Hall in Phoenix.
One of his employees, Trevlin said: “Kalvin was more like a big brother to us, not like a boss. He treated us well and always made us happy. All we want to say is larnie rest well.”
