Welcome to South Africa – or at least your window tho this beautiful country. It may be your first visit or it may be your 100th, the fact is you have never discovered it fully. I have lived here all my life and have travelled the country extensively. I have also been to many other countries in the world and can concur with many that says South Africa is the world in one country.

Allow me to be your virtual tour guide through our beautiful country. Beauty not only in terms of natural wonders, but also in terms of cultures, people and history (albeit a shortish history). I will assit you with everything you want to know about this country – from the history to the economy; the politics and the sport; the weather and travel guidelines. You will find it all here.

You might know of our country because of one of our most famous sons: Nelson Mandela or as we call him affectionately, “Madiba”. You may have heard about apartheid and Madiba’s opposition to it – this is all part of what makes our nation known as “the rainbow nation”.

If you’ve never been to Africa you probably have these images in your head of Elephants and Lions walking the streets, of indigenous people with spears and sticks and you may have the perception that the our country is just one big game park. You will be pleasantly surprised! We have all of the above but also the most advanced banking system in the world; NY Stock exchanges listed IT companies; we build all the Mercedes-Benz C-class and BMW 3-series vehicles for the world and our produce reaches every corner of the world.
